Charlize Theron Launching Denim Line, The Prometheus star is in the early stages of putting together a clothing line known as Theron Jeans. The actress will join forces with her stylist Leslie Fremar to bring these designs to life.
Charlize Theron intends to sell her denim line in mass-market stores. However, nothing about Theron Jeans has been officially confirmed. A representative for the actress stated that she couldn’t comment on the project. Reported Inquisitr...
This isn’t the first time an A-list Hollywood actress has teamed up with her stylist to produce a fashion line. Katie Holmes previously worked with adviser Jeanne Yang back in 2009. The duo put their heads together to create the successful Holmes & Yang label.
Charlize Theron is certainly no stranger to the world of fashion. The actress has already put together a line of eco-friendly shoes. All of the proceeds she receives from the line are used to benefit the charity Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project.
“We have very similar philosophies and I think, you know, I think our passion lies with youth and I think when we got together that we saw great opportunity to enhance each other’s dreams of change in a way that might not have been able to happen if we didn’t partner,” Theron said of her collaboration with the folks at Toms Shoes.
In addition to her denim line, the actress has a number of cinematic projects currently on the horizon. Theron recently wrapped production on director George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road. Theron famously shaved her head last year in preparation for her role as Imperator Furiosa.
Charlize Theron told SlashFilm that she was interested in the universe Miller has created with the Mad Max films. This is essentially what drew her to the project.
“I feel like the original ‘Mad Max’ created such a vivid world, that to go back and re-imagine it and kind of replay in that sandbox sounds like fun to me,” the actress said. “George really created a female character that I’ve never read anything like this. I mean, I’m scared sh**less, yeah.”
Since Charlize Theron has quite a few movies to tackle at the moment, it’s unclear when her new denim line will find its way onto retail shelves.
