Five crashes in 12 hours

Five crashes in 12 hours, THERE were five car crashes, two vehicle seizures and three graffiti acts reported yesterday in the Gladstone area.
Police attended a single-vehicle accident on the Dawson Highway at 3.40am yesterday, near the intersection of Glegg St......gladstoneobserver.

The vehicle, containing the driver and three passengers, hit a tree. There were no injuries reported.

A man about 30 was transported to Gladstone Hospital after a single-vehicle accident on the Bruce Hwy, near the Turkey Beach turnoff, at 6.24am. The highway was partially closed for a little while.

About the same time, police attended a two-vehicle accident in the same area, which involved a truck and a car. Neither the 26-year-old female driver of the car nor the 53-year-old truck driver received any injuries.

Police attended a three-vehicle accident at Benaraby, near the Caltex service station. Two of the vehicles sustained extensive damage and were towed from the scene. A light-rigged truck and a Honda sedan collided on Philip St at 3.50pm yesterday, with no injuries sustained.

Two 45-year-old males have had their vehicles seized for 48 hours for repeat offences and driving unlicensed.

Police received reports of graffiti overnight. Offenders used black, silver and yellow spray paint, along with blue and orange marker pens to graffiti walls of the Ferguson St underpass near the Breslin St/ Dawson Hwy intersection, a building at Gladstone State High School and a retaining wall on the Dawson Hwy.
