The Yankees traded for Ichiro Suzuki last season in hopes that his speed and accuracy would help them reach the postseason once again. The New York Post reported on March 2 that Ichiro was involved in a car wreck that night, an accident that has to worry that Yankees.

Luckily for Ichiro and the New York Yankees, the wreck was not a serious one and Ichiro walked away with no injuries. Yankees' GM Brian Cashman said that he was fine and that New York received a phone call from his interpreter to let them know everything was okay.......examiner.

The accident happened in Tampa, Fla. when Ichiro was driving at 4 p.m. EST and hit a woman who was making a left hand turn. It sounds from the report that the baseball player's car struck hers, sending her car into a third car. Luckily, reports from the accident say there were no injuries.

Despite the fact that the accident was due to him hitting the woman's car, the police report state that the woman was to blame and she was cited for the accident. It is not known whether Ichiro's car crash will keep him from playing in the next spring games or not. He played on Saturday and was supposed to make the trip to play the Boston Red Sox on Sunday.
