According to Jon Humbert of Komonews.com, the former Seattle SuperSonics and Oklahoma City Thunder player has left behind a sad and shocking portrayal of his living conditions for the new owners to sort through and clean up.....bleacherreport.
Swift moved out of the suburban Seattle home this past weekend under threats of eviction, finally giving us a chance to observe the horrific scene inside.
Chris Chase of USA Today noted that the No. 12 pick in the 2004 draft’s mansion is filled with hundreds of beer cans and cigarette butts, 50-plus bullet casings and a handful of guns, dozens of pizza boxes, piles of trash and even a box filled with letters from prestigious colleges the big man neglected to even open.
Outside, the scene isn't any better. There is an El Camino in the driveway that is unable to move—due to a missing engine. The porch is littered with dog feces and other waste.
Unfortunately, Swift just never panned out for the organization. The seven-footer finished his four-year tenure in the Association having averaged 4.3 points and 3.9 rebounds over the course of 97 total contests.
He was set to become the starting center for the Sonics in 2006-07 but tore the ACL in his right knee that preseason and missed the entire campaign.
Things were never the same after, as Swift put together two more unproductive years before bouncing down to the D-League. He even spent a season in Japan before returning to his Seattle-area abode to squat until he was finally forced out.
